Volunteering is great way to gain new skills, build confidence, meet new people and make a difference. It’s also a great way to gain experience if you are looking for a rewarding career in the charity sector.

Volunteer work at LWA is primarily available as a 'befriender', whose role is to provide additional support to survivors who have been working with our Outreach Workers, to reduce their feeling of isolation and to help them resettle into the community.

Volunteers also help on our group support sessions, the Freedom Programme and Recovery Toolkit.

If you would like to volunteer but would prefer not to work directly with our service users then there are opportunities to volunteer as a fundraiser or to provide practical help, such as volunteering in the office.

Further information about volunteering please contact Tammy@lwa.org.uk or complete and return the application form below -

or you can contact us directly.

Whatever area our volunteers work in they make a huge difference to us at LWA and the people we stand for.

Thank you.
