Event clean up operation – rain should wash away the colour powder from the grass, pavements or roads or use of a hose or leaf blower will also clean up.

Personal clean up operation – to get the colour powder out of hair and off skin it is best to do this whilst it is still dry. Shake it off first then just wash as normal and maybe repeat.

What if it gets in my eyes – just rinse with water and everything will be ok as the powder is non-toxic but for added protection we strongly recommend wearing a pair of our sunglasses that will be available for sale.

Is the colour powder edible – Yes it is 100% safe to ingest but we advise you to wear it, not eat it!

Is the colour powder safe – the powder is non-toxic and non-irritant to skin and conforms to EN-71-3 standards for a safe and fun event.

If you have any breathing difficulties ie Asthma, the paint powder may cause issues if inhaled so please do take extra care when in contact with the paint powder. You may wish to wear a dust mask/ face scarf/face protector for the event especially through the colour stations.

If you wear contact lenses - please take extra care as the paint powder may cause irritation to the eyes.

We do advise that EVERYBODY taking part in this event wears sunglasses to protect their eyes from the paint powder.

LWA will have First Aid cover for the entire event should anyone need any First Aid assistance.

Is this event suitable for wheelchair users?

You would need to have all weather tyres as this run is on all surfaces from road to cross country. To discuss further please contact

I 'm coming by car, where can I park?

There is plenty of parking available at the Belvoir shopping centre and you will be directed where to park by our lovely volunteers on the day.

What time do I need to arrive?

You can arrive anytime from 8.00am?, this will give you plenty of  time to collect your running number, grab a coffee, throw some paint around before  proceeding to the starting point. The Colour Run will start promptly at 10.30am – there will also be a ‘warm up’ prior to the start.

***Unfortunately late starters may not be allowed to compete ***

What do I need to bring with me?

You need to ensure you have suitable clothing ie running gear and running shoes (ideally) with you.  It is also advisable to bring a change of clothes for after the run as they may be a little colourful and we have a lot of fun still to be had after the colour run with our fantastic Zumba Paint Party.

Do I have to wear my running number?

Yes, You must wear your running number  on the front of your top, visible at all times. The number must belong to the entrant and the number is not transferable as you will be asked to fill in the information on the back of the bib so this must be relevant to you.

How many entrants will there be on the day?

We are hoping that around 500 people will take part in the Colour Run 2019 after the success of the 3 previous years event.

Will there be water stations for me on the course?

There will be a water station at the end of the run in Coalville Park. However we do advise you to buy a bottle of water from the Registration tent at the beginning to take with you around the route.

What happens if I am a slow runner and take longer than the 2 hours

Marshals and officials will only be on the course until 12.00 and we cannot guarantee to be there to guide and help you on the route after this time. However even if you walk this route you should easily be able to do this in this time and you will want to be at the finish by 12.30 ready for the amazing Zumba Paint party that we have planned.

Can I listen to my music or bring my dog with me for company?

We do not advise listening to music as you will need to be fully alert to the surrounding potential hazards and also need to be able to listen to the guidelines from the marshals AT ALL TIMES. Dogs are great pets but sadly are not allowed on this route.

Do I get a medal?

Yes, you will receive a colour run medal for completing Coalville's 4th  Colour Run 2019

What do I do with my running number after the run?

You are welcome to keep your running number and frame it as a momento or you can  dispose of it  in the bins provided

Will there be any timed  results?

As this is a fun run and not a race we will not have any official timings.
