We have a number of services available which are here to help people affected by domestic abuse to safely escape and start a new life.
Our main Service
Outreach Services
The Outreach Service provides help and advice over the phone and in person in a variety of ways, including: emotional and practical support, security measures, support with the legal system and resettlement.
Drop-In Clinics
LWA have a drop-in service for people affected by abuse, including the friends and family of those experiencing abuse, to talk in confidence and get personal advice on the problems they are facing. The drop-in times are not widely advertised, please contact us for more details.
Group Support Programmes
We run two programmes for victims of domestic abuse - The Freedom Programme and The Recovery Toolkit. These programmes help victims of abuse to understand what has happened to them, why it has happened and to take steps to a more postive future.
LENS
We can take and store photographic evidence of any injuries sustained which can then be used as evidence in imminent or future court cases.
UR...? Project
We support young people, aged 12 to 18, who are experiencing abuse from their boyfriend or girlfriend. Support is provided on a one to one basis, in couples or small groups.
