Most local areas will have a Domestic Abuse Forum. Although their exact role and membership will vary between areas, typically they are made up of local professionals who work with people affected by domestic abuse and who come together to raise awareness of abuse and influence local service provision.
If you would like to get more involved with your local Domestic Abuse Forum contact the Community Safety Partnership in your local authority or your domestic abuse services for further details of local arrangements.
In Charnwood, meetings are held quarterly and are chaired by LWA. If you work, or are affected by, domestic abuse in the Charnwood area and would like to join please contact the Forum Co-ordinator, Michele Walker, on michele@lwa.org.uk.
