LWA regularly organises training events and conferences.  In addition to planned events LWA can provide in-house training packages.

LWA Training

Living Without Abuse offers a range of training around domestic abuse and sexual violence. The aim of our training is to facilitate the development and enhance the skills of individuals who may come across domestic abuse and/or sexual violence in their workplace, or those who may want to enhance their knowledge in this area.

Our dedicated training team have a range of relevant qualifications and years of experience of training, developing training, and front-line work with victim-survivors of abuse. Our trainers bring a diverse range of skills and specialisms, which ensures that we continually develop and deliver the highest quality training.

 

LWA Training Packages

LWA offer both in-person and online training for teams of up to 16 people. We offer a range of training, including:

  • Domestic Abuse Awareness.
  • DASH Risk Assessment Training, including information about MARAC.
  • Stalking and Harassment.
  • Coercive Control.
  • Elder Domestic Abuse.
  • Honour-Based Violence, Forced Marriage and FGM.
  • Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence in Teen Relationships.
  • The Impact of Domestic Abuse on Children and Young People.
  • Vicarious Trauma.
  • Domestic Abuse Awareness for HR and Workplace Management.

Our training sets are delivered as either a half-day or full-day interactive session. Please see below for details and prices.

 

Half-day Sessions Include:

  • 3 hours ‘live’ delivery online or in-person.
  • Interactive session with activities and scenarios relevant to the course content.
  • Certificate of completion and a copy of training materials.

 

Full-day Sessions Include:

  • 6 hours ‘live’ delivery online or in-person.
  • In-depth exploration of the course content.
  • Interactive session with activities and scenarios relevant to the course content.
  • Certificate of completion and a copy of the training materials.

Our training sets can be tailored to create a bespoke training session to suit the needs of your organisation.

 

Training Costs

  • Half-day training for teams of up to 16 people – £400*
  • Full-day training for teams of up to 16 people – £750*

* Plus travel expenses if in-person training is outside of the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland areas.

If cost is a barrier, we offer our Domestic Abuse Awareness training as a 2-hour online webinar or e-learning course at a cost of £30 per person.

We also offer ‘live’ delivery training online, which provides the option for people to book individual spaces at a cost of £50 per person for a half-day session and £75 per person for a full-day session.
