Sexual Violence Defintion

Sexual violence is any behaviour thought to be of a sexual nature which is unwanted and takes place without consent.  Sexual violence can be physical, psychological, verbal or online.  Any behviour of a sexual nature that causes you distress is considered sexual violence.

Sexual violence may be a form of domestic abuse, if perpetrated by a current or ex-partner, or other family member, but may also be perpetrated by someone known to the survivor but with whom they have not had a relationship or by a complete stranger.
